Photojournalism: Quaranthings

I am proud to share with you my student’s creations for the month of February, Quaranthings- Taking a personal look at your journey through quarantine.-Photojournalism of your own unique experience. Again students were asked to share images and this time they wanted to share their accompanying text they were asked to create for the image under the guise of photojournalism and documenting their own experiences. They were thoughtful and these images have moved me as I hope they do you. This video is a bit longer than the others I have shared with you, I hope you take the time to watch it in full. Essential questions: How does what is included in the picture frame or excluded from the picture affect how a viewer perceives an event? How does the photographers’ choices or political beliefs affect the choice of what is photographed for journalism? Can someone’s beliefs or perceptions be swayed by a photograph?
